The protein shake I have loved for 5 years!
I am a repetitive person. I know what I like and I stick with it (well most of the time).
This protein shake I have been drinking for five years. Recently a freakin awesome friend of mine gave me a tip to make it better and I almost cried over the four years I wasn't drinking it this way!
For the longest time I used this shake first thing in the morning in just a shaker bottle on the go. It is perfect that way for someone about to go to the gym and need something light, or out and about and need a quick snack. I would just fill my shaker up with 8 ounces of almond milk and a scoop of peanut butter and then have two scoops in a plastic bag to toss in when I was ready. Quick, easy and tasty!
The protein powder I use is from Orgain. I get it at costco for $29.99 It is called Orgain Organic Protein. I love the chocolate, but they have a vinilla flavor as well that is just as good...it kind of is just dependant on what mood I am in. Sometimes all I want is chocolate, Im sure some of you may understand me! I love this protein powder because it supports digestive health, which is huge fore me. I don't go for the whey protein because I don't need any help with bulking, or gaining muscle that is one thing I can't complain about my body. It has 6 grams of fiber, 21 grams of protein and one billion probiotics. It is plant based, dairy free, soy free, gluten free, lactose free, vegan, non GMO and zero grams of sugar... WHAT?! It has 4 grams of fat and 15 grams of carbs. They recommend two scoops per 12 ounces and the container has about 27 servings. In my opinion it is a great deal and most importantly for me It sits well with my stomach and helps me stay on track with my fitness goals.
So like I said I had a good friend reach out to me and give me a few pointers on how to make this baby that much more delicious. Here is the most recent and favorite recipe that I have been sharing on instagram:
I use my nutra Bullet
-two handfulls of ice
-I fill my cup with almond milk to where it is just about to cover the ice, but not completely
-one heaping big honkin scoop of peanut butter
-half to full banana (if maverick is screaming at me and Im feeling like I need a boost I shove that whole banana in)
-two big scoops of protein
Then I blend it up to the consistancy I want.
I top it with some chocolate sea salt granola I get from whole foods and chia seeds
There ya have it, a chocolate milkshake for breakfast fully equipped with tastiness and crunchies!!

It is husband and baby approved as well as doggo approved (completely don't recommend you give this to your dog) sometimes it spills with the baby and all Im saying the dog has never complained!
